Thank God We are Out of the EU ...

As remainers protest over the UK leaving the EU, one of the main concerns they have constantly prophesied over is the erosion of workers rights once we are outside of schemes and associations governed by the commission as part of our EU membership.

... take a deep breath.

So, ironically for the blinkered remainer, the EU have now signed up to an investment trade deal with China -> click here

Apart from the CCP lying through its back teeth, over and over again regarding the Coronavirus outbreak, colluding with the WHO to cover up the sheer scale of the impact to the rest of the world, failing to shut down its borders to stop the spread and incarcerating, torturing and murdering whistle-blowers, China has a list of atrocities as long as your arm that, no doubt, the average hardline remainer can brush off as trivialities because what is more important is, we are too dependant on China anyway, so, "what the hell" let's go all in because its where we get all our cheap stuff from.

It's quite a disgusting way to look at trading relationships when historically trade has been used as a very effective weapon to resolve issues such as human rights, as much as it can be an incentive to conquer other things such as poverty and deprivation to make the world a better place. We have seen this in other countries we trade with recently, in particular, Africa and also with our sanctions on Iran and Libya etc.

But the EU deal is different. This isn't so much a trade deal with "China" this is a trade deal with the Chinese Communist Party, a signed up document between a communist regime with a 100 year agenda for world domination and 27 countries of the EU that year on year have gradually sold out and eroded their sovereignty all in the name of the same ideology as their Chinese bedfellows. Could this be the opportunity to accelerate the EU end state using China as the catalyst ? After all, look what has happened in Hong Kong and what is happening in Taiwan.... and besides, the belt and road initiative has seen the member states go trillions in debt to China through cheap loans to fund the new Silk Road which will bring them their cheap stuff from the communist block.

Here, we have on one hand, the remainers wanting the UK to go back into the EU because of workers rights, when the reality in China is that over 500,000 Uighur children have gone "missing", human organs are harvested, millions of Uighurs are incarcerated in concentration camps being re-educated with forced labour, there is zero tolerance for disobedience of the authoritarian state and zero rights for workers or their families. Genocide of the Uighurs make the Nazis look like saints, the CCP stealing their land for themselves to allow them to grow materials for cheap clothes, subsidised by the communist government to undercut any other western manufacturer and wholesaled around the world in big polluting container ships.

China is the biggest (or certainly in the top 3) polluter in the world, it's the country that hacks, steals and copies technology that other companies have invented, protected and designed, only to manufacture it under forced labour and infringed copyright which the west turns a blind eye to, and pays its workers a pittance so it can sell it back to us cheaper than anyone else.

We need to do something about China and now their bag-man, Biden is in the Whitehouse it means more of the same. This is now beyond politics and it is the consumer that needs to push back and one way would be by not buying anything from China. We should give the EU the same treatment as well.

Thank God we are out of the EU !

Re: Thank God We are Out of the EU ...

Seeing how the Biden administration will handle China is going to be interesting following the EU's submission to China re: their investment deal, and with the signing of RCEP (the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) whose members include:
Australia, China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Besides Bread's list of Chinese deeds there are plenty more which the rest of the world seems to largely ignore, such as the building of artificial islands in the international zones of the South China Seas and then militarizing them, or the rapid and frankly worrying build-up of their armed forces.

International feeling towards China isn't changing because of the despicable C hinese treatment of the Uighurs, or of Hong Kong or any of the rest of it so it's going to take a concerted effort to show China that they cannot go unnopposed.
Sadly that is unlikely, in the near future at least.
At least our government keep reminding China of their broken treaty regarding Hong Kong.

I wish consumers would rebel against Chinese goods - but IMHO that is as unlikely as any governmental opposition.

Something does indeed need to be done.
Sadly however it looks very much like - just as usual - nothing will be done until it's too late.

Nigel Farage (whether you love him or hate him) understands politics and he has voiced his opinion as I provide links to below.
Say "so what?" at your own peril; his words struck enough of a chord in China for their state media to launch a scathing attack upon him.
Which, from past experience, is what China do when stung by the truth.
They were obviously concerned enough that a response was warranted.

Re: Thank God We are Out of the EU ...

Oh and talking of "Thank God we're out of the EU", here's a report from Germany's editor of Bild, Germany's biggest-selling newspaper.
He is not a happy chappy and the report he gave exclusively to The Mail explains why:

"But the most bitter irony for Europe is that the one foreign politician our liberal commentariat have most mocked for years — Boris Johnson — is also the one who acted swiftly and decisively when it came to securing the vaccines. The number of doses you have speaks for itself.

And it was the ‘sensible’ federalist Europeans who have failed so miserably.

Anyone who still doubts the wisdom of Brexit needs only to look at the vaccine chaos unfolding across the Channel — and think again.
