U boats and EU rules !!

It used to be that Europe used submarines to starve UK into
submission on at least two occasions, one of which l have memories
of !!
Do you think that this time they are using incomprehensible EU
rules to do the job??
Will they succeed this time??
Will Boris end up " dead in a ditch " ??

IMHO the EU have already failed.

Re: fishing they've again shot themselves in the foot!
I've posted before how European tables are seeing less fish and crustaceans as a result of their actions and how prices in the EU have risen.
Ask French fish processors who has succeeded with what and see what answer you get; they aren't happy with the EU or with Brexit.
Neither are Irish fishermen.

If anything we should up the ante on our rules of origin to prevent all that Chinese crap coming over here as part of the EU's new trade agreement with the CCP.

Hi Donks!

We are hearing, more & more, that much of the EU nasty stuff is, actually, coming from Marcron's influence.

I don't know if his trapping of the trucks, recently, was a tactical ploy or just a slip of the guillotine, by Macron.

Whatever is the reality, it looks like his opposition, in France, is growing.

His on-coming re-election plans might get more interesting.

Frexit?

S'il vous plait?

I believe the Scottish fishermen are not too pleased either Zaph ?
Apparently they have had to dump a couple of truckloads of
shellfish due to holdups!
I think the answer to their problems would be to send their stuff
down to Billingsgate if it is still open, they would have no problem
shifting their stuff there, and it would be fresher as the trains run
right into London, so no traffic problems either ??
Seem daft to me that they send their catch all the way to Europe
and then send some of it back over here again ???
Surely we could use Billingsgate as a distribution centre for Europe
If they really want to eat our products?
The opportunities are exponential as l have been preaching for
the last 10 yrs !!

You don't really believe the EU will allow Europe to be flooded with
Chinese crap do you Bread ?? It will be tariffed out of existence !!
Their aim is to capture the 2 billion strong Chinese market ??
They were only practicing on the UK !!

I've said before that I think it's a bu@@er that I can't buy a British fresh crab or a British fresh lobster today if I want to!
There aren't any here to be had.

The government say that problems getting the stuff exported are down to teething problems and, from what info. is available - that seems to pretty much sum it up.

Nobody likes change and this is a big change.
It will take a little time for the dust to settle and for people to come to terms with the changes; that's only natural.

If it is more than that - well the EU processors, retailers and customers aren't happy either so that bodes well for a swift resolution.

Regarding what you ask Bread: the EU are already guilty of China flooding the continent with cheap crud.
They're more interested in protecting Spanish oranges and French cheese & wine than on putting tariffs on the huge volume of crud that comes from China.
The agreement the EU just reached with China isn't going to improve matters either IMHO, so Bread is looking pretty much spot-on when he says what we should be doing.

I am pleased to here that Ted!!
He is a cheap imitation of Napoleon imo!!
Strange how Europe seems to breed a lot of midgets suffering from
small man syndrome isn't it ??
