I've never worn dishwashing gloves, but enough exposure to hot water and taking things quickly out of the oven has left me with what my son calls "Mom hands". I seem to be able to handle high temperatures without much sensitivity.

I only use marigolds, when I am cleaning for someone else.

I used to wear them when I was a cook, when washing some of the pans,that couldn’t be put in the dishwasher.......

Ah you see I don’t have a dishwasher. Never had any room in my kitchens for one. Not even in this house.

Yes, I do sport bright yellow Marigolds when I wash up as I have a tendency towards psoriasis and the washing up liquid plays havoc with it.

I've been a devoted fan of Marigolds for many years, never without a new pair in the cupboard - because I don't have a dishwasher. However, found a pair in Aldi last week so will give them a whirl.

The only time I wear rubber gloves is if I have my arm down a gulley or drain. Otherwise it's dishwasher for the general stuff and no gloves for the pots and pans but I quite like the idea of the kinky stuff. Thanks Annie.
