Watching the Deer.

Hi

Out early tonight

Miles away but easy to see with the telescope.

They come down much closer in winter.

In Autumn and Winter, if you are quiet, you can get very close up to them.

Re: Watching the Deer.

Swimmy, l suppose you are talking about big reindeer type deer?
I only get Muntjacs here. They are very sensitive to movement and sound.
When l am watching them from my window, l have to stay very still and silent. Even if l take one small step nearer to the window, it will look up and run off.

I filmed one in my garden on my iPad recently but you can’t post videos on here...can you?

Re: Watching the Deer.

We have moose, red deer, fallow deer and roe deer close by. The roe deer are little buggers. We came down one morning earlier this spring to find three of them in the back garden eating our tulips for breakfast about ten yards from the kitchen window. I’ll see if I can find the photo.

Re: Watching the Deer.

Hi

Attingham Park, with its Fallow Deer is 10 minutes away from my house.

Kingfishers and otters are 5 minutes away.

Not a bad place place to live.
