Welcome to Over50sForum! The site for people over 50 to chat, make friends, discuss, share, and generally be part of something that's fun and friendly :)
It's a word that sees such little use for obvious reasons that it's hardly surprising it doesn't even show up in a web search.
Thanks Zaphod you're a gentleman.....
But I don't know what half of these acronyms mean that they use in text speak these days, and it's beginning to creep into the forum.... I much prefer writing it in the proper way....Even if it takes longer...My Dad always used to say "If a job's worth doing"....etc..Oops!...
Just because you don't like how it is being implemented so far does not mean in any shape or form that we have not 100% left the EU.
If the language coming out of the EU regarding their failures with their Covid vaccination progress because of our success aren't enough to convince you then nothing ever will. And this vaccine success alone would not be possible were we tied to the EU in any way.
What grates is that rather than accepting the different opinions of others and leaving alone after the first barrage where it is surely realized that neither side will change their minds, there's this almost perverse desire to continue going over and over the same old ground even though those guilty of doing so know that not only does it cause increasingly-fractious posts in this forum but it leads to ill-feeling and threads being closed.
More than once.
It's time that the adult in those people who insist upon revisiting old arguments came to the fore and such deliberate provocation ceased.
Nobody including myself objects to sensible, reasoned debate and discussion.
This subject though as far as some are concerned rarely engages in such a manner.
This is supposed to be a forum for the over-50's but the way some people throw virtual tantrums when they don't get their own way and keep restarting these old arguments is just childish.
Exactly my feelings
I am becoming more and more sick of reading the same old, same old from the same old faces being dragged into as many threads as tenuously possible and it's bringing on a migraine. I'm going to take a couple of my magic pills and go for a lie down in a darkened room until some of you (you know who you are) have come to your senses.

Check the name of the thread Percy??
I f you feel the way you do why do you post on it??
Just asking?

I'm guilty as charged with the acronyms but TBH I CBA to change.
My trouble is that I can't type fast enough you see and (as you might have noticed) I do tend towards the lengthier posts, so such abbreviations and accronyms are a boon to folk like me.
Having younger family members helps with awareness of modern trends but in honesty I've been using similar accronyms since the days of AIM (AOL Internal Messenger) and Yahoo Messenger before the turn of the century when data was an expensive commodity, together with text messaging on mobile phones for the same reason.

Donkeyman! 🤔🤔
I suspect that like a great many others he doesn't, or at least not as much as he would like to be able to judging by his post.
Off-topic yet again maybe but I've said before about other users not coming near this side of the forum because certain people - whether deliberate or not - are in effect stifling debate.
That post is probably a great example, not thinking about why somebody agrees or considering the content of that response but instead asking why they post?

The name of the thread is BRINO, I know I checked. My post was, purely and simply, a reaction to you and others dragging fishing rights, vaccinations, NI border problems, and such like into virtually every possible thread you can on even the most tenuous of grounds with scant regard for the main topic of the thread's title. It has to stop otherwise, as Zaphod said, you and the others will be guilty of driving other potential contributors away before they decide to post anything. I've said my piece. I'll let the matter rest now.

Oh gawd here you go again??
For the last time !
You post on a whinjing , repetitive, and all that you abhor posters
thread, and don't have the sense to avoid him?
You don't HAVE to join in, unless you are looking for shyte ?
I believe there is a perfectly good forum available on this site?
It's called the anti-- brexit forum, why don't you use that, and maybe
I could pop over to visit on occasion?
Bruno is an oxymoron as the referendum did not give a definitive definition of what leaving the EU entailed
For many it seems that Brexit meant the NHS would be given an additional £350 million a week, for others WTO rules and Boris said we would not be leaving the single market. There are so many permutations that it will always be brino
