I remember the brother talking about them - he was RN.

Ah! Yes! Our version is called a Huhu grub. Tastes nice but texture is a bit off putting! but really handy if you're lost in the bush!

No Annie. The Witchetty Grub is a large larvae which is an indigenous staple here. I sampled it when i visited the Yalata Settlement in Central Australia. It was delicious. Much like a lot of indigenous bush food. The food, culture music and art of the First Nations people is difficult to describe. You have to experience yourself. Once you do you dont forget it in a hurry.

Re: Have You Ever Had A Worm Put Down Your Back?

Put my hand in a wasps nest when I was a nipper.
Ended up in the park lake stung to hell.
Got a smack round the back of the head by the park keeper and me dad when he arrived to collect me. Fun days.

Shoving worms down girls backs was the in thing when we were kids then we reached 10 and grew up so it got boring.

Well what about the old Medlar Tree and it's rather gross fruit.....was extremely popular at one time.

Will it make a come up do you think?
