Madeira Fruit and Vegetable Market

Taken a few years ago . I'm still experimenting with transferring photos from Picasa to OFF.

Lovely photo. I went to Maderia long time ago now, but I remember the markets, the fliligree silver, the bullock carts and the terrible headache I had after visiting (and sampling) a wine cellar. Not forgetting of course the hair raising ride down the mountain in the wicker toboggan.

Re: Madeira Fruit and Vegetable Market

We went to Madeira about 12 years ago - what a scary airport right on the edge of the sea

We went to the flower market in Funchal and I bought some Agapanthus and Bird of Paradise tubers for my garden. Unfortunately the Bird of Paradise didn't grow but I still have the white agapanthus flowering every year, in fact it is in flower now.

Lovely photo Alan
