Are they 2 different plants? If so, the yellow ones look like the ground cover we get here & on the roadsides.

Re: Wild flowers

No they are the same plant that has both yellow and orange in them, however there are a couple of purple clover in among them.

Its a coastal flower that likes short turfed areas. In North America its known as Birdfoot Deervitch.

Here is a photo of Bird's Foot Trefoil as it grows everywhere Often added to the seed mix for hay. Also the state uses the seed to plant roadsides.

Re: Wild flowers

Beautiful Shirley that looks like it
I've taken photos myself but can't upload them from the phone but they look like what I'm talking about, kind of little puffy type flowers.

Re: Wild flowers

I'm really pleased I found this thread, I think wildflowers are only too often not given the recognition they deserve. Here's the Cranesbill(or Storksbill) taken recently.

Re: Wild flowers

All beautiful photos everyone

And you're right Spider. It kills me that 'weeds' that people once were always trying to eradicate, now spend a lot of money for the same 'wildflowers' at the garden centres! Crazy

Re: Wild flowers

Photo of peanuts in bloom...there are a lot of different kinds of peanuts and lots of plants and trees in the legume family.
Closely related to Bird's Foot Trefoil.

I will hunt up my photos of fields of Peanut hay, very pretty in bloom and also a nice lawn cover, still blooms when mowed for lawns.
