Some companies have already been doing that to employees. You agree to the job then you agree to the chip. I think it's horrible and this app is worse than big brother. It's like electronically tagging the whole population.

But people will go for it Annie if they think it will save their lives, or at least make life easier...People love gadgets and gizmos.

Re: Contact Tracing on smartphones

I turned on location sharing on my phone a few months ago.

I was staggered to see tracking going back years ie before
I had turned it on. Google maps - menu (3 lines top left)
then 'timeline'.

That is quite scary!

Re: Contact Tracing on smartphones

Forget this mobile tracking, we need to concentrate on gangs of 16 year old youths on bicycles who are potential spreaders.

I've usually got mine turned off or so I thought!
However it seems I must have inadvertently turned it on to use an app or something because my whole year is there in locations!

Re: Contact Tracing on smartphones

I think I would rather not know tbh. I will have someone working with me in a few weeks who I know for a fact has had the corona virus and has survived it. I'm sure the person will not return until completely safe but it does worry me. If I didn't know, I couldn't worry about it.
