But what are the other three parts of the tool used for?

Think back to the thread file.
Well, comparing the size of the tools for removing the valve inserts with the size of the threaded parts, perhaps they are for cleaning the threads into which the valve inserts are screwed.
I can't think of anything else.

That's exactly it. One part of the tool is for removing/refitting the valve insert, one part for cleaning the external thread of the valve, the part where the dust cover normally fits.
The two other parts of the tool are for cleaning the thread where the valve insert fits, and the tapered part of the tool is for clearing any debris at the base of the valve stem.

Great!

I'd really like to see one of the ladies having a go now.
It would be nice for us blokes to struggle with something 'ladylike'.

I'm sure they have things that we men know nothing about!

On the day I was married, I was taken to one side by a member of "The Brotherhood" who taught me the 101 different ways of saying, "Yes Dear".

The same day, my Lovely Cousin was taken to one side by a member of "The Sisterhood" who taught her how to do the "folding of the arms", the " tapping of the feets", the "pursing of the lips" and how to give "The Look!".

I am sure you are right in that ladies have knowledge of things we mortal men will never be allowed to know! *whimper*

Come on, Ladies.

Take no notice of these misogynistic men.
I'm sure you all have some little somethings that we men know nothing about.
