Thats young peoples speak Longdogs, same as the emphasis on the 'L' in HospiTAL.....I would pronounce it 'PULE' But I'm 'Old Skule'......

If it's the word 'castle' you're alluding to, it's only soppy Southerners who pronounce it 'carsle'.

Up north, we speak properly, and the word is 'cassle'.

That reminds me again of a classroom experience.

This one involved my trying to explain the Queen's title of 'Regina'. Although some pronounce it 'Regeena', I pronounced it 'Regeyena'.

Needless to say, it was a couple of the female brats who began to giggle uncontrollably...

for some inexplicable reason.
