Crested Grebe

We often see these on the local lakes..................one of my favourite birds.

I have seen them before but I wouldn't have known what it was. It is a very nice photo.

Smashing birds Alan, but I have never been quick enough, or near enough to get a decent shot of one...as soon as I get the zoom and focus set they always seem to dive, and then they could appear again anywhere on the lake....
