Also at a properly laid table with plate mats, serving mats, wine glasses, serviettes, crackers etc etc.

Just eaten another huge Turkey dinner. At the table. Will go out with the dog shortly, to try and burn some of it off. Maybe a carrot, or two.

Contrary to what you hear about us Northerners, we ate our Xmas meal while sat at a properly laid-out dining table, complete with Christmas crackers on the side plates and cutlery laid out in the correct order. (Sis-in-law is good at entertaining). Three-course meal, a couple of party games and the merest sip of Chardonnay for me as I was driving.

There was only Tony & me & I was going to set it on a tray to eat in front of the TV as we usually do but then I changed my mind & set the table.

Best mats, crockery & cutlery, wine glasses, candles & Christmas music playing softly. It was nice.
