Hospital stay

Just got out of hospital after 9 days, seems like forever.I've got some catching up to do but I'll get there. Set me thinking though its a nightmare trying to find the right sort of jamas to take in, to protect your modesty as well as ease of examination. Anyone else managed to overcome the problem?

Re: Hospital stay

Hope you're feeling much better now Val.

The old 'hospital modesty' problem is a hard one. I think I remember some news items about a new design of gown, with 'access points' rather than basically all your bits on show to the world.

My daughter has a new baby and I've been impressed with the design of appropriate clothes - one a sort of t-shirt/vest, which protects modesty round the (still flubbery) middle whilst feeding and other quite smart tops which drape etc and where 'access slits' lie hidden in the folds.

I'm sure the technology is available - and maybe the designs are already there? Have you googled? I found this http://www.goingtohospital.com/ but haven't looked through it

Re: Hospital stay

Thank you, I've got COPD and had an exacerbation, looks like I might need oxygen at home but I'm thinking I should have a hospital bag on standby, its just selecting the right stuff. Not something I want to go through again certainly not in a hurry and men, bless them, don't seem to have a clue what we need.

Re: Hospital stay

Glad you're back, Val; take care. I've fortunately never been hospitalized so gave no thought to the apparel problem. I will now!
