Well there appears to scientific evidence for it.

I once took the Mensa test and came out at a modest 158. So much for eating my fish. PS The number was amended after looking up my certificate - I had forgotten!

Any cardio fitness exercise that oxygenates the brain is good for keeping the brain active.
