Julie I only buy fresh baked crusty bread from the supermarket, that way It gets locked in the boot of my car before I start nibbling.

I'm the same way with potatoes. Once I start eating them, I can't stop, regardless of how full I am. Mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, au gratin potatoes, it doesn't matter; I'll stuff myself until I have no choice but to lie down.

As for something I ate this week, but shouldn't have, that would be McDonald's. Every once in a great while (thankfully it doesn't happen often) I get a "Big Mac Attack" and have to go get one. People say "wait it out, the craving will eventually go away and you'll forget about it."

That may be true for certain things, but not the Big Mac. Not with me, anyway. Once I get a hankerin' for one, the craving doesn't stop until I satisfy it. So I went to McDonald's this week for lunch and ate a Big Mac, a small fry and a 6-piece chicken nugget.

I tell myself that every time we have potatoes. Do not go back for seconds, do not go back for seconds. But then I see those beautiful mashed potatoes sitting there and can't resist dumping another big spoonful onto my plate

Fish and chips is my trouble-I still crave the odd helping with mushy peas but they sit on my tummy like a royal corgie

I should try that too. And I do often tell myself okay, that's good, you've had enough, but it never works out the way it should
