Sooty (RIP)

Some of you may remember back in April we lost Sweep one of our cats.

While I was away dog showing Sooty left us to join his brother Sweep. He went very peacefully and was purring right up to the end. My OH was stroking him as he lay on his chest. He just gradually slipped away.

I still can't quite believe it, I had given him an extra cuddle before we left, just in case, but didn't really believe he would be gone before I got back.

Have fun over the bridge boys.

Re: Sooty (RIP)

Thank you for your sympathy.

The boys came to us after we lost our tortoiseshell cat Emma to cancer. We had intended to give a home to two rescue cats, Sooty and Sweep were in need of a home after my niece's relationship broke up.

I thought they were 18 years old when they went to the bridge, estimated from vaccination certificates but my niece had rescued them previously, they were adults when she got them, she estimated that they were 24 years old! WOW they had a brilliant life, it's cats paradise here!
