Rain
Come closer,
do you think of me
in your Winter rains,
grays touch the ocean.
Come sit,
my hands are warm
merely empty.
I reminisce,
incidental moments
remind me....you too?
the paths we walked are the same I`m sure,
void of our impressions.
Do you think of me
when the rains fall?
it`s been so long...
Well better go,
rain is passing.
Thought you might like to know
I think of you..
Rain is that way sometimes.

The wood has grayed
many years of weather,
fighting Winter, July boils,
and the rain.
Comfort on the old back-steps
twisted some, but sturdy.
Dark clouds move across
lighter shades,
or is it the world moving around
charcoal splashes.
Rain..doesn`t it seem searing at times.
I fought the day to bring me here,
the cold minutes spent alone...
No one to watch the rain.

A little poem about love via the internet .
A Make Believe World
Softly you came like a breeze in the night.
Like the soft touch of down like the warm glow of light,
And gently you took me to the place that I love,
Where the unicorns play with the stars up above.
The music is playing a soft lullaby,
Of the world we created just you and I.
A make believe world with a make believe key,
There really was never just you and me.
And so it goes on with a beat in my heart,
Of the pathway we’re taking the pathway we part.
It was good while it lasted of that I am sure,
Don’t look back through the black painted door.
The nightmares are coming claiming their right,
To sit on my shoulder to hold me so tight.
When the door seemed open and the journey was long,
I look in your heart and saw it was wrong.
So gently you took me to the top of the hill
And there you just left me ………….I’m waiting there still.

Some good stuff there folks! keep it coming.I was asked one day if I had written a Will, so I did.
Write a Will
Will the most important word we know,
Taught by our mum’s and Dad’s years ago.
You Will get up in the morning when I say,
You Will sit at the table for your food today.
We Will at school behave and do our work,
Or we Will end up going through life a jerk.
We Will have to go to work to earn a living,
We Will do exactly the work we are given.
We Will look for a partner to go through life,
We Will eventually find us a husband or wife.
Will you love her and cherish her, “I Will”
Will you love him and comfort him, “I Will”
We realize how Will has worked the way it does,
For we go through life, Willing this and that for us.
Have you wondered why people Will get better,
It’s because we have Willed them too.

My son buys and sells a lot of wood, for his wood turning business, and it gave me an idea for this one.Trees
The biggest hangover you have ever seen,
The wonderful willow filled the scene.
Like the mighty oak the king of the trees,
The tree used for ships that took to the seas.
Pitch pine for keeping miners safety good,
Below the ground mining for fossilised wood.
The ash tree made spears and arrows so true,
Along side the longbows made from the yew.
The Goddess of the trees is the lovely birch,
Used for furniture in homes and the church.
Then most important of all the lime tree,
Sought by the bees for honey for you and me.
We now have the most used of all the trees,
Mahogany, used for homes, ships and leas.
With furniture made hundreds of years ago,
Nice and polished red, always a good show.
Now comes the holiest tree, in the holy land,
Olive wood tree the immortal tree so grand.
Prophets and Kings anointed with it’s olive oil,
The finest tree ever to grow in our fertile soil

My daughter heard the name "Jaydella" yesterday and we both thought it was made-up and awful but as it rhymes with salmonella I was inspired to write this:There once was a gal named Jaydella
Who cooked up a meal for her fella.
The chicken was raw,
But nobody saw -
So they both died of fowl salmonella.
Apologies for the pun in the last line.
