Why? It is demonstrably a lie told by Johnson and earlier by Jenrick. The whole of PMQs seemed to be a get Sadiq session, complete with electioneering by Johnson for the Tory mayoral candidate next year. Such is their utter lack of achievement, lies are all they have got to campaign with - very Trumpian!
Now, you may consider the truth to be utter bollocks but please don't push your delusional land of fantasy as reality.

Sadiq Khan bankrupting TfL would be the main one.
But, as the Tories saw fit to blame Gordon Brown for the 2008 World recession and its effect on the British economy, it only seems right that they would blame SK for the devastating effect of Covid-19 on London.

Maladministration by Khan is responsible for TfL being in the state that it is.

Brown was NEVER blamed for the world financial disaster but he WAS responsible for the much greater disaster that hit GB because of his effing about with the role and responsibilities of the BoE. As for Khan and the impact of covid oon London , there is no doubt that had Khan got been such a BF (that's being generous) there would have been far less cross infection.

Wasn't it BoJo who blamed Khan for the closure of Hammersmith Bridge? Seems that Bojo had forgotten that the problems of essential maintenance were also in existence when he was mayor.
