Tory revot ? Is it real??l

Much is being made of some tory MPs disagreeing about Boris's
lock down measures in most of the media tonight?
How many actually disagree, and how many are actually rebelling??
Is it all just wishfull thinking on the part of the media, or are they
being malicious or trying to manipulate events by creating public
disquiet???
What do these mps want? Boris to call off the lockdown?? Why?

Donkeyman! 🤔🤔

Maybe the tories who are shouting the loudest about the lockdown are those who have business interests that are being affected by the lockdown. They may have relatives who work in areas affected by the lockdown or they have financial interests that are being affected. We all know MP's look out for their own interests before that of those who voted for them.

This!

It's the same with the Brexit remoaners. They probably all have financial interests in the EU just like Treason May's husband.

Money talks, and it talks louder than political alliances.

A very good example of this is Gina Miller, the woman who took the government to court over brexit saying that her reasons for doing so was so that the tradition of fairness within political system could be upheld being that it was for parliament to decide on brexit, not the decision of one person, the PM.

The fact is that it was all a lie. Her and her husband and both their families have strong business dealings with the EU and having the UK leave the EU would have had serious affects on their financial well being. She didn't do what she did for the sake of UK politics, she did it to find a way to save her own butt from losing millions from business interests and dealings with the EU.

It's only when the press investigate do we see the 'real' reasons why people like Ms Miller act the way they do. I am sure if the press investigated the MP's who plan to rebel they would find a lot of financial ties to the EU.

I assume that nobody is buying into their claim that these tiers will destroy large numbers of small businesses, especially in the hospitality sector, which will takes years to recover (if ever) and prove to be a long term tax burden on these newly unemployed and the debts they'll be unable to repay?

Heaven forbid that they're actually worried about their constituents.

Just as Mrs Thatcher was dumped because of fear that some MP's would probably lose their seats over the council tax issue so some MP's have the same fear because of BoJo's insistence on retaining protection measures that inconvenience or annoy stupid people who can't or won't understand the very real danger that continues to run riot. Their is no cure for Chinese 'flu. There is no magic bullet. The possible immunisation acts in a different way than traditional vaccines, and yet these fools are pushing for relaxation on safety measures for purely selfish reasons.

Strangely enough, I don't remember the BBC mentioning that little detail!

Could it be its all down to Brexit then Dodge??
After all, before Boris, 75% of tory backbenchers were hysterically anti
Brexit ?? Then suddenly they were all brexiteers ??

Anybody with half a brain would realise that by protecting the elderly and those with underlying health issues, and allowing most people to return to running their businesses, there would have been no need to destroy the economy with endless lockdowns.

I agree.

Young people seem to be unaffected or hardly notice it if they are. The sensible thing then would be to ensure that young people keep away from older people (or vice versa).

Instead of keeping everyone in, let the young people work and if possible behave sensibly by not congregating in large numbers.

Marge and I, being older people, go to the supermarket for essentials but keep away from other people. We may go for a walk (in the outdoors) but keep away from other people there as well. That's called being sensible.
