Boris Johnson photographed breaking his own government's rules on pub visit

https://www.manchestereveningnews.co...ments-20424965

Boris Johnson visited a pub in Wolverhampton on Monday and was pictured chatting to customers while holding a pint in the beer garden.

But the photo op has raised eyebrows, with many pointing out that the PM's behaviour is not in line with the current rules on visiting hospitality settings.

Visitors to pubs are supposed to be seated whenever eating or drinking, and should be wearing face coverings when moving around the premises.

The Government's guidance also states that people who don't live together should be two metres apart, or one metre with mitigations.

In the photos, Mr Johnson is standing up with his pint of beer, and much closer to members of the public than the two metre advice.

The official Government guidance on visiting hospitality settings states: "At any premises serving alcohol, customers will be required to order, be served and eat/drink while seated ("table service")."

Apparently BJ doesn't "do" official Government guidance - BJ does what BJ wants to do .....

At least he didn't use his bouncers like Sir Kneel did when he got ejected from a pub the other day.

Not sure if Boris can afford that level of security.....too many domestic matters to pay for, I think

Landlord reveals what customers made of Boris Johnson's unexpected pub visit

IMHO it's another lose/lose situation.
Pilloried if he doesn't pose with those asking him to have a photo taken with them and pilloried if he does.

Johnson was spotted taking a break out of his visit to the Black Country on Monday for a pint in the sun having earlier visited the West Midlands Metro depot in Wednesbury.

He had earlier been spotted getting out of his helicopter which had landed on the green at Penn Golf Club before putting in an appearance at The Mount Tavern on Penn Road.

It did not take long for the PM to get behind the bar himself, pulling a pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord, which he then drank while chatting to punters about how great it was to be back at the pub, as well as the vaccine programme where he asked some customers whether they have had any of their vaccinations yet.
Flagrant breaches .....
