Actually, 'over 700' MPs doesn't sound too many when you realise that we have 650, and you have a greater population than we do.

True, but the number of MPs will increase to more than 800 after the next GE if there are no changes. Some forecasts estimate that they might even increase to 900 which would incur costs to the tune of more than one billion pounds.
