I thought of all the things I could have said about violating the park policy with the dog, failure to have the yet untrained dog on a leash, (yes, Meg) a lack of skill in training, and most of all, a deplorable lack of manners and appreciation. I just smiled and waved at his wife who waved weakly back.

After all, I couldn't be that upset, it was just a pup we were dealing with ...

But I couldn't help say, laughing, as I turned and ran off....

What do you think?
Surfermom you are a saint !
My blood pressure has risen just reading the tail er tale .
I would probably have filled the air with terrible language telling him exactly what I thought of the old fart .
What an infernal cheek!
Can you imagine being married to such an AH ?
No wonder she smiled weakly she probably has years of such incidents to put up with .
Now I wonder if the jerk would have behaved the same had you been a 6ft 4”” 25 year old Rugby type doing a bit of running ?

I am going through a spell of being severely 'puppy broody' at the moment so may well have put the lead on the dog and walked off with it

When you got home, you knocked the jar of chicken feed into the freezer and had to vacuum it out.

Yes! How did you know!

Actually.....

I said, just loud enough for his wife to hear, "You can try to train your dog, and you can even try to train your wife...

But you, sir, cannot not train me."

And with a smile and wave to his wife, I was off.

I feel a little bad for that rudeness, but not very much.

I still would have taken the dog. Might even have offered to train it for them.

I thought that really loudly, Rhian - but you know how it is...biting that teacher's tongue .

From what I saw, Mr. Grump could have definitely used your help. Sweet, lovable but bonkers puppy!

I don't consider that to be rude surfermom. You did well.

Thank you, LD. However, it was the tone I used...the TONE.
