Just been to vote, what a total shambles and balls up.
Furious.After moving house a few weeks back I mislaid my voting card.
Rang up, got a new card posted to my new address, no problems.......until about 30 minutes ago.
They've sent me a card that is useless because they have me down as requesting a postal vote.grrrrrrr

Bottom right it says 'you will not be able to vote at a polling station.

That is true, but if you have your postal vote paper you can just hand it in.

With all that's been going on I threw it on the side thinking it was the voting card when infact it was just an acknowledgement card. Doh
I don't recall receiving any further correspondence.

There's a further complication, the storms overnight last night and the torrential rain earlier today too have caused chaos with our transport systems. As a consequence, many commuters are being delayed on their journeys home. Some may not get back in time before the polling station closes and thereby denying them the opportunity to vote.
