The prat needs to get his facts straight. ISIS were in Iraq first, (probably all the prisoners who Saddam Hussain had kept in jail and the US and UK opened the gates for them to escape ) but he still can't take any responsibility for the thousands of people they have killed since when they went on the rampage and IS are still holding areas of Syria and subjecting the Syrian people to torture and death.

How he ever got cleared of war crimes, I will never know. That was down to a few more 'turds'

If you know the right people in this country, you can get away with anything.

Just our version of democracy.

Blair should be rotten in jail right now for the life's of the soldiers that was lost looking for the Weapons of mass destruction that he knew didn't exist: And sending the troops in to battle with equipment not fit for purpose

Hi

You will never get Blair, he was very, very clever in what he said.

Saddam did have weapons of Mass Destruction, he had Chemical Weapons.

We had known that for years and also known that he had used them with great effect in the Iran Iraq War.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraqi_...s_against_Iran

He was our friend at that time and the UK said nothing as well.

These were not basic weapons, they included binary artillery shells with Nerve Gases.

They could be deployed at 20 minutes notice, so Blair was technically correct on that as well.

Blair did not tell a lie, what he did was not tell the truth.

He did not say that these weapons were Battlefield Weapons, very limited range and absolutely no danger to us.

The invasion of Iraq was Geopolitical, all about Oil and Russia backing Iran.

It was complete disinformation and the public where taken for a ride.

Iraq was secular, Saddam was ruthless in keeping the Radical Sunni Muslims under Control.

The Saudi backed terrorists who unleashed the Terrorists on us.

Such is life.

Re: And now Blair!

I wouldn't want you to misinterpret this post and think that I'm standing up for Blair,I'm not. However he is the only Labour leader to win three elections in a row. Surely that says something, if not about him, about his policies towards moderate Labour MP's and subsequently the voters? For all his mistakes he was a popular leader at the time particularly in the early years. Whilst not being wholly responsible for Labour's drubbing at the elections their movement away from the middle ground towards the extreme left and Marxism played the biggest part.

Whilst labour continue to be in thrall to Momentum and in hock to the unions their lack of success will continue. They need to find a new leader and ditch the extreme left policies. You may dislike Blair, as do I but his successes can't be denied and he proved to be an able leader of the party. When you look at the present lot who are vying for leadership they're not fit to lick his boots.
I wouldn't be one to underestimate Blair, he may yet make a comeback, perish the thought.

Re: And now Blair!

Hi

Much as I dislike him, he is infinitely better than Momentum, Corbyn and the Marxists.

I am a Socialist, I am no Marxist.

I consider them to be a greater threat than Boris.

Re: And now Blair!

Boris is no threat, least of all to the British public. He gauged the mood of the public just right and is perhaps the only Conservative capable of giving meaning to the phrase one nation Conservatives.

He is a man who is able to move and motivate the public, maybe even mobilise them. An intelligent, well educated, resourceful middle-of-the-road Conservative who is just what this country needs to dispel the myth that Tories don't care. Certainly his message seemed to resonate during the election otherwise the Conservatives would have lost.

I agree.
Until he goes back on his word; until he delays Brexit beyond his promised timetable, he has my support.
I would still have preferred Farage to have a good number of MPs in Parliament, but for now I trust Boris to do what most of us want.
