Re: Over 50s Club Manchester/Cheshire

Good morning all ,
My day out at Bury St Edmunds...the coach arrived at 11.30 in bright sunshine ,and dropped us 16 passengers outside the Park which is at the back of the Cathedral.we were given wrist bands to go in the Cathedrals Flower Festival but the time on them was 12.15.So i went in the park and found the Abbey ruins there .then i went into see the flower festival ,took some photos .Afterwards i went into the town ,it was getting hotter and the heat was beginning to effect me so went to Debenhams resturant for a sit down and cold drink.Wheni came out there the heat hit me straight away and i knew i had to find some shade and sit down.I headed back to the Park found a bench to sit down as all the benches were occupied.I hadnt been sitting down long before i got in conversation with a lady from another Coach trip she had come from Peterborough, this passed an hour ,after she had gone ,i mpved to another bench in a shady part of the park, there once again i got in conversation with a local lady and this passed the last hour away before i had to meet my coach .I didnt get to see much at all cause it was too hot to walk in .

Re: Over 50s Club Manchester/Cheshire

Hello everyone .... a bit cooler today thank goodness

Well we went to New Brighton .... they've done a lot of new development since we were last there and of course it was very busy so we sat on the prom and had our lunch and then went to West Kirby which is our usual place to go for a day at the beach.

It's is so lovely there ... so fold up chairs on the beach and spent a few hours just doing nothing

Sorry your day out didn't go according to plan Eliza but at least you got to chat to some nice people

Eliza, that's just how we were at Tewksbury - it was too hot to be bothered to do much! I could do with going again when it's a bit cooler!!
