Aren't those programmes desperately boring, LD?
For a start, I don't even know these people who are looking for a house. I hope they find something nice but who cares what they buy.
The down under one is laughable..."Would you like to live in the beautiful country Australia, or settle down in sunny Barnsley?". Errrmmmmm...let me think
Duh!! Bit of a no-brainer tbh.

I am very much a Reality Show groupie...with Big Brother being my favourite. I watch both the American and Canadian versions...

Those are slotted in between the programmes about benefit scroungers and celebrity chavs running through a jungle.

Barnsley it is then. I wouldn't want to find myself living next to Gumbot

The trouble is Floydy, I have seen these programmes so many times that I do actually recognise the people and can even remember which property they buy.

Sad, very sad.

Ooooooh Yes, I have to agree. Most of those programmes don't even tell us the ingredients, we have to buy the book for that.

And that Nigel Slater needs to have a wash and wear a hat.

I love The Yorkshire Vet series.
Escape to the Country, is escapism, those houses they show are lovely, most of them, but way out of my league. I just wish some day the contestants will buy one.
Location, Location, Location is better, at least we find out what they buy.
Doc Martin, am currently watching the re-runs. I hope we get a new series soon.

Re: Favourite T.V

Although I don't watch it now, I really enjoyed Pawn Stars in Las Vegas with Rick Harrison, Corey, The Old man and 'Chumlee'.

Lot of showmanship and staged, but Rick's SO knowledgeable. I believe he was ill for a long time as a kid and spent a lot of time in bed. So he read. Anything and everything.
If he was unsure about an item, he'd call in the 'experts'. I loved watching his face - totally animated while learning and picking up more knowledge.

I read somewhere the Old Man died recently.
