December Photo Competition

This month's competition theme, chosen by Bratti is

"Holiday Spirit"

As usual, interpret as you wish. You may enter a maximum of two photographs.

All photos must be the original work of the poster and please, unedited other than cropping.

The competition will be open until noon on 29th. December

Winter Solstice, when our ancestors believed the sun's trajectory stood still for twelve days, and they enjoyed much feasting and jollity during that period.
The cold dark days of Winter are conquered and we can look forward to the advent of longer, warmer hours of daylight.

For me Christmas is the sound of Cicadas, some years they are deafening.

We decorated the NSPCC charity Christmas tree for 2018, for Daughters Boss. We do it every year.

Very beautiful pictures by all.
I’ll be adding my mine a bit later on in the year. Christmas to me, means holiday spirit. It means to extend myself a bit more than I normally do every other the year and it’s done through traditions that I’ve carried for years which I’ll share with the pictures.
