There will be jobs for years while we agree new deals etc. It's the biggest change we have had in generations.

A more recent report confirming increases in civil service staff have been driven by Brexit, but it's up to about 2012 levels rather than 2009. :

I'm sure Brexit staff are working hard.
Of course Annie, the mandarins see an opportunity to expand
their empires, and so the civil service expands further and further
thus increasing the mandarins influence and the kudos that go with
that! Unless we periodically cull them it will continue inflating itself
exactly like the HOL? And things will take longer and longer to get
completed because that is the motivation for employing more
civil servants, l suppose just like a black hole really!!

I see, you are confusing the civil service with the coronavirus. The people who decide what happens are elected. They determine policy such as Brexit which necessitates more "bums on seats". It appears there was a big cull ten years ago and complicated tory policies have meant that since then more civil servants have been employed to implement blue sky ideas. If you read the links the biggest increase is down to implementing Brexit which I believe you are for?!

I watched a bit of the news this morning, and I see that the anti - British Broadcasting Corporation and the rest of the MSM are milking this story as much as they can

The sooner the BBC and the rest of them are sorted out the better

In answer to Annies statement ' thats why british industry went
down ' Moscow!
It was because the owners and investors decided that they would'nt
invest in modernising the industry to keep it competative and instead
Sold everthing off, ( with Thatchers blessing) and then put the
proceeds on the stock exchange to provide their income. This
suited Thatcher in her battle with the unions, which she completely
demolished by this strategy!
Now l agree the unions needed curbing at this time, but the method
she used to do this was imo also self destructing to the uk?

I wasn't referring to nationalised industries. It's well documented that control and command top down management models stifle innovation. Management that are incapable of communicating with workers end up totally out of touch with reality.
