They really are looking for trouble...

China's Government has dramatically raised the stakes in its economic campaign against Australia, with multiple Chinese importers receiving verbal directives to stop shipments of Australian wine this week — dealing a blow to a market worth more than a billion dollars last year.

Many exports have already been targeted for various forms of restrictions in the Chinese market, including the ongoing anti-subsidy and anti-dumping investigations for wine, a freeze on new coal orders, huge tariffs on barley, a ban on some timber exports allegedly due to pests, and in recent days the hold up of Australian lobsters at a Shanghai port.

This doesn't surprise me! China have been making moves to gain more power in the world & that is why I suspect they may be responsible for Covid19.
Since they took back control of Hong Kong they have disrupted the lives of the people who live there. They are trying to control the South China sea & before all that they were trying to get some control over other things on other countries.
No country would try to upset so many other countries unless they were seeking power over all of us!
What better way than making sure our economies are in a poor state, & lets be fair harming Europe & Australia is a good way to start.
Perhaps we should all be a bit more suspicious of the moves China has been making over recent years. Don't forget that communist countries have always wanted control of their people.... and some manage to achieve it

If you want to control the world, the first thing you must dump is Democracy.

The Russians did it, and later changed back (nearly).

The EU has done it.

The UK nearly did it!

America - the Jury is still out.

Maybe the good thing about making "all people equal" is in the future when the Chinese hand out all the World's Golf Clubs, all the empty houses in London, which they have bought, and all the investments, in the world, for their members to share equally!

We're so jealous!

Several distributors have also said that wine was not the only target, with shipments of Australian lobster, sugar, coal, timber, wool, barley and copper ore to also be unofficially suspended from November 6, dealing a potential five to six billion-dollar blow to Australia's economy.

Perhaps not a bad thing reducing our dependence on Chinese goods Bruce, even though it might cost us for a while. They might be shooting themselves in the foot...

All sounds a bit right, to me, but will we (the rest of the world) do it?
The problem as it it and it's a major one .. almost everything available to buy that is not food has the label Made In China on it. Until major manufacturers return to their previous production factories, then we are stuck with China and that really galls me and then some!!
