Why not have a lie in.
Apparently, this year will be
one second longer to compensate for the Earth's slowing rotation, say the scientists.
Bit it is feared the 'leap second' added at midday on 30th June by experts at the International Earth Rotation Service in Paris, could spark internet crashes!
They say the extra second is needed because the Earth's rotation is gradually slowing by around two thousandths of a second per day.
When the last 'leap second' was added in 2012, Mozilla, Reddit, LinkedIn and scores of other web sites, crashed.
So, the day after the 30th June this year, everyone on the Earth will have an extra second.
They say every second counts, so use it wisely.
