Yes - lots. Just decide how far you want to walk - you have to do 120 kms (I think) to get your pilgrims passport and get that stamped twice a day.
Decide if you want to carry your luggage on your back and stay in dormitories/auberge/pension on an adhoc basis (bearing in mind they may be fully booked by the time you arrive, so will have to walk further than you planned........and there have been reports of bedbugs), or have your luggage transferred for you and prebook hotels.
I walked relatively short distances, stopped when I wanted to, took photos when I wanted and stayed in some totally amazing places. Others walked fast, head down marching - not my thing!!
I've kept all my notes, so if you want recommendations on some fantastic places to stay, just let me know..........plus things to do in Santiago/Madrid.
