My Beef is ........These People have the Money to pay quite easily and they don't. If it was the ordinary Working Person they'd be Hunted down by the Law and punished. The Rich should be treated the same.

Does this include having an ISA then?, same meat different gravy perhaps?

It is tax avoidance whatever spin you put on it.

Do I really prevent my grandkids from benefitting from their Junior ISA's because it is unethical or immoral ??

I somehow don't think so and if folks think it wrong to give my own the best start I can, then they will have to get over it.

Re: Wealthy Tax Avoiders.

It's an odd thing that the more someone has, the more of it they desperately try to keep. Yes, these huge sums are morally repugnant to us basic rate taxpayers, but if they want to stop it then surely it is down to the government to make these complicated avoidance schemes illegal....or am I missing something...

An ISA is one thing Hammer but deliberate Tax Avoidance is another, and that's what I'm on about. Yes the Government should be doing all in it's power to close the Loopholes but most of them are also up to their nasty wee lugholes in the Avoidance Schemes too.

I think you've got it spot on there Roxy, and not just the Tories...for example Tony Bliar only paid £315,000 last year on earnings of about £12,000,000...... Nice work if you can get it...
