Re: Nose Bleeds

Been for a BP check today. It's still high. Next week they are taking some blood tests, urine test and an ECG, so I am getting the works!! I also need to lose weight and cut back on salt etc.

How do you get over white coat syndrome? I was ever so anxious before I went in, I could hear my heart beating in my chest, so that wouldn't help my BP. I'm going to be just as anxious next week when I go for these tests!! If anyone has any tips, they would be welcome.

No more nose bleeds........yet!

Ha ha, never heard of that. White coat syndrome! I like it.

Never had it myself, The last time I remember being nervous was speaking at my daughter's wedding something I can't explain because I wasn't the slightest bit nervous speaking at my son's wedding more recently. Odd eh?

It's quite a common condition, apparently!

I know what you mean CC. This was happening to me a year or two back. My BP was too high at their surgery and I told him I felt it was because I was always anxious there.
He gave me a monitor to wear at home for 24 hours and my BP was perfectly alright that way. Might be worth asking about it if you are getting too anxious at the surgery and with all the fiddling about with tests.

I think I'd even be anxious with one of those too.

No CC, you'd be fine. You forget you're wearing it half the time and when you're asleep you won't even know. I'm glad I did it anyway because it put my mind at rest.

Just done a reading, 117 over 76, pulse 52, whatever that means.

Re: Nose Bleeds

Fez up, my readings at the surgery give cause for concern, and my wife and son work there.
