I don't rate this make at all tbh. In fact I don't really rate these air to water heat pump systems at all. They've just not mastered these yet and quite often underpowered systems are installed. They bang on about the supposed energy saving aspects (which are often hugely exaggerated) - but always forget to tell you just how expensive these are to repair when they fail.
If Swims village has gas, I'd out this and go back to gch.
No gas fender, unfortunately.
Most new builds here are air source, loads being installed in social housing as well.
I will get Damian to come Saturday and find the number on the compressor.
I need to have a working heating system to sell the house.

Swims,Is there another company you can call out to get a second opinion?
If this lot are condemning the compressor, they should say why.
Ie; seized, windings shorted or down to earth etc. If they've not said, I'd suggest they don't know and are guessing.
Another company would more than likely make a concerted effort to find the fault / put this right. Companies love a bit of one upmanship and proving each other wrong.
