I'll get you all round for fishcakes and russian salad (just like mama used to make), serving the skin & bones separately.

You thinking sauerkraut.

Russian salad normally has little cubes of cooked potatoes but maybe not on this occasion.

what about

french beans, carrot, lightly cooked & chopped, red pepper, pitted olives, gherkins and stuff all mixed in mayo.

Problem solved.
I do too Carol and find it contains less slimy blobs of beige protein, the whole tin of fish is edible.

| buy tinned wild pacific salmon in preference to fresh salmon most of which is farmed and full of pesticides and streaks of white fat because unlike wild salmon the fish get fat due to lack of exercise.

Re: Skin and bones

I love tinned salmon but l will only eat red salmon. My mother in law used to buy pink salmon but put cochineal in it to make it red!

I only like the red salmon in brown bread, with vinegar and cucumber.
I usually pour out the brine, take out the bones and take the skin off.
When l had my two dogs they loved the juice and the bits. When l had a cat he had them and didn’t stop licking his lips and whiskers for ages after!
