Nature at It's Best - and it's worst.

Family of Magpies, learning to fly, using my birdbath, Mum Magpie shouting, defensively, at anyone who went near.

Great to watch.

Then, this morning, they are gone.

All that's left are two neat piles of black and white feathers.

Very sad!

Magpies are lovely to look at - but have nasty habits. As you say - nature at it's best and it's worst.

Nature can be cruel
Yesterday I was watching with delight as two little bluetits practised flying on my front lawn , one flew into the sitting room window and died

Not so sad for the animal that probably had a good meal off them.
