The only brightness in my garden...

I know they're the easiest plants in the world to grow but as a beginner gardener I'm really chuffed with the 99p pkt of marigold seeds I bought in February.
They're still going strong well into autumn - I'm waiting for them to finish before I plant my winter pansies in their place but don't think it'll be a while yet!

Photo taken this afternoon.

Simply beautiful - it seems the plants are as bewildered as we are with the weather ........

Still going strong, Carol, lucky you! I have a few bits still flowering but not as colourful as your marigolds.

A lovely display for this time of the year Carol

I reluctantly pulled out all my, still blooming, Geraniums and Begonias a week or so ago so that I could plant my winter pansies.

I'm jealous too! A gorgeous bit of colour. My garden is rather confused, with spring stuff trying to come through and buds on my magnolia. I hope it doesn't all get beaten by winter.

Wow that is a good display Carol for this time of the year.

We still have some flowers showing but with being on holiday last week I started tidying the garden up for the winter.

Very nice display. Our garden is a real mess at present - covered with leaves ripped from the ash & sycamore trees.
Mrs G has moved the fushias into the pottering shed and the bays and rosemary will soon go into the lean-to greenhouse.

Well don't Carol! They look lovely. Even as a beginner you obviously have green fingers
