Passwords

Not the most exciting topic but I've seen worse

How many passwords do you have & do you just remember them all or have them secretly hidden? Perhaps you have to keep changing it because you forget?

I must have about 10-15.

Re: Passwords

Several, but I always forget them if I don't save them. Constantly changing them.

Re: Passwords

I have a little notebook for all my passwords and computer notes. I write my passwords down in Pitman shorthand, not a lot of folk can read that !!

Re: Passwords

Mine span 7 sides of an A4 sheet. I join websites all the time. Some have been discontinued, or I don't use the site anymore, so I spose the list could be updated/edited.

You only have to buy something and you're asked to 'register' the product, which means joining the site. So that's another password to think of! I often let my eyes wander around the room and see what item they rest on, then use that word, with random numbers.

And then there are the bits of paper hidden in the home with important logins, that I can't find! More specifically the one for my housing association residents site, where we can contact the staff quicker than the call centre. (Though I just email our officers and hassle them! Heh heh.)

I know Pitmans! Don't use it much, unless I write down the minutes of our allotment committee meeting, but even then I've gone digital. First I used a netbook, now I have consent from members to record on a digi voice recorder.

Still remember the words in shorthand but would probably struggle on the speed, now.
