I donít see this game being reflected in the news these days. I was quite aware of it during the 1940s when it was solely the province of public school types.
Marge and I used to enjoy playing badminton occasionally...

when we were younger.

And neither of us are public school types!

Good for you. I was of course referring to my own personal experience.

Sorry. No personal affront intended.

And the 1940s were, after all, before my time!

1965: Carnivorous plants

The man on the left has bought his carnivorous plan to the vet on the right. It isnít eating and the vet is saying that thereís nothing he can do about it. This seems to be a strange cartoon.

1965: Chat up line in the zoo

The furry animal on the left appears to be strangely well informed about the zooís problem concerning its animals failing to reproduce.

Yes. Like all women, they pretend they don't want it but they enjoy it anyway!

1966: Male fashions in the sixtiesÖ.

The woman on the left makes a valid point. The two young people who have just passed each could be either sex. I donít remember how long this fashion lasted though I donít recall a catastrophic fall in the birth rate.
