It was the audience who sealed it for me, you expect certain stuff from the panel, but, an audience should be balanced, not so, stuff the programme, and the audience.

I agree. The question must be asked, why does the BBC ask potential audience members what their views are (amongst other things) before they are accepted?

A further idea. I'd like to see GBTV do an equivalent programme to BBC's QT.

Two left-wing politicians - perhaps Labour and Limp Dem.
Two right-wing politicians - perhaps Conservative and Brexit Party.
A left-wing journalist.
A right-wing journalist.

And a completely impartial chairman/woman.

Oh, and an automatically timed microphone for each.

Knowing how some participants try to take over the discussion and rattle on indefinitely, I think timed microphones would help enormously.

A speaker would be given a specified amount of time to make their point, then stop and give someone else a chance.

It would also prevent one person attempting to interrupt or talk over another, as so often happens. If only one person has their microphone enabled at any one time, that would be impossible.
Well, I suppose they could still try it on, but at least no-one would hear them!
