I wasn't sure where to post this so if its in the wrong thread please move.
I worked somewhere for a number of years and took out a private pension.
When I was approaching 60 I had a letter to say I could take my pension now rather have to wait.
There were options one where I could take a small sum of £1,700 and the rest paid in payments
and another option where I could take £11,000 lump sum.
I opted to take the £11,000 then I waited a while till a letter came from them.
Then this letter came which basically is telling me I can't have my £11,000 but I can have the £1700. I phoned them and they told me it could be in court for years by which time I may not even be here!
Have you had anything like this happen and is there anyone in here clued up on pensions to tell me if there is anything I can do. I suppose I could see a solicitor but that will cost me a fortune.
They only sent me the quotation at the end of last year so they are lying when they say the court decision was AFTER they sent the quote too.
Anyway I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone had this sort of thing happen to them etc.
