Re: Prince Philip hurt in car crash,

Seems he was pulling out of his estate drive onto a main road and in front of another car. So, his fault then.

Will they dare ban him from driving now?

Aye, daft old bugger. Driving round his estate maybe, but not on public roads.

The latest news here, about 3 mins ago said that is apparently exactly what did happen Tess.

They said the Duke always insists on driving himself, as he was on this occasion.

He was just pulling out of a driveway from the Sandringham Estate onto the main A149, and it seems pulled out straight in front of another vehicle coming along.

I can't help but wonder if he has to go through any procedures with DVLA to prove he is still safe at that age?

Don't we have to prove our vision is still good, and doesn't our insurance go up and up after 73 is it?

Not sure if it is was his car, or the one he hit, but one of them was flipped right over onto it's side.

It was Himself's Range Rover that flipped.

Ah, thanks Roxy.
It showed on our local news a Range Rover on it's side but I didn't catch who's R.R. it was.

No matter how well he does for his age, I don't believe his reactions can possibly be as quick as a younger person.

Bet he put the fear of God into his bodyguards as he pulled out!

Re: Prince Philip hurt in car crash,

Imagine it....

How the other car's occupants felt after the initial impact, (which wasn't their fault).

Did they want to get out and punch the other drivers lights out till they saw who it was.

In reality, I feel more sorry for the other car's occupants.

Poor Philip. I read that he was very shaken.
