Fall color

A early Maple tree about a mile south of me, only red tree I saw all red. Taken yesterday.

I think this is a green Ash but I am poor with tree names.

A dead tree with a vine growing on it, one we call Woodbine, in the south the same vine is called Virginia Creeper

Just a branch on a young Maple.
Please add your fall colored trees...I would like to see how yours look. I will add more as the colors develop.

Very pretty AC I have a Liquidambar styraciflu (American sweet gum) in my garden which turns red and gold.

Re: Fall color

One thing we lack around my way is deciduous woodland, so pockets of autumnal colours are rare. I look with envy at some of the great photos from areas of the USA. Very nice set and im sure as Autumn drifts on the colours will become even better.

Re: Fall color

We live at the side of Sherwood Forest where the trees are just starting to turn, but it'll be a couple or three weeks yet before the colours are dramatic.

Re: Fall color

Why does Fall in America look so much more colourful & dramatic than Autumn in Britain?
