Dementia Comfort

I have been looking for an interactive cuddly cat for my old gal, she adores cats.
I was thrilled to see an article in the Daily Mail that agrees this would be of help - then, I saw the price £1000 !
What liberties they do take

Re: Dementia Comfort

So they reckon they can charge more if it's to benefit someone's health ?

Re: Dementia Comfort

What about something like this ..

http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/T...y%280129424%29

or there is something called emotion pets... a cuddely toy that respond to the owner, similar to the furbie idea..

Much more resonable at under 50pounds

Cass - I'm so grateful to you - I tried googling for this kind of thing and got nowhere, must have worded it wrong - the demo looked purrfect for her

Re: Dementia Comfort

What a lovely lady you are Patsy.

Hope you find what you need for her.

Wonder if there is a pats scheme for cats, we used to take the late Mollie into local care home and to a couple of private homes for people who could no longer have a dog and she loved it as much as the ladies and gentlemen who cuddled and petted her.

Re: Dementia Comfort

That is so very thoughtful of you Patsy.

I do remember someone bringing her dog into the hospital as a therapet. It was a beautiful wee dog and the patients loved her. Such a great idea

Thanks Mags x
I don't think she would like one talking back to her
One that's soft and cuddly and purrs, would suit her
