Just seen the news that Kirk Douglas has died aged 103.
One of the great Hollywood legends many will remember.

Sad to see this news. Definitely a great actor and a real Hollywood icon. 103 what a grand old age.

He will be missed. I've always enjoyed watching his performances.
My all-time favorite role was as the rebellious slave, "Spartacus". Any one who has not already seen that film, I strongly recommend it. directed by Stanley Kubrick, also starring Sir Lawrence Oliver, Charles Laughton, Peter Ustinov, and Jean Simmons.

One of the very greatest. Last of the "golden age" stars. My fave was Kirk and Anthony Quinn in "Lust for Life". Vale Kirk!..You da man!.

One of my favourite films-The Vikings.Loved the scene with Kirk jumping on the oars of the Viking ship as it came up a fjord.

Rip Kirk. Thank you for the many hours of entertainment. Fantastic and convincing actor.
