Re: Return To School

The government. This Chinese Plague is still running riot just as much as it ever was. Unless a vaccine is developed, and that's still a very big if, we should not be trying to return to normal because we can't and shouldn't be trying to. There is so very much wrong with adopting this head in sand approach just for the sake of the domestic economy. Instead as a nation we should be taking our lumps and accepting that as has been the case with all plagues the outcome is going to result in massive and far reaching social changes.

Just look at the fallout from the plagues of the past - without a vaccine this one hasn't even got off the starting blocks yet.

Kids to school?

Absolutely NOT.

These headlines are not looking optimistic.

Individual school should do what works for them, following advice from government but adapted to their particular needs.

Good question Foxy, we may need some folks with the spirit of the ones who have been cramming onto beach's etc etc, to head up the classes.

Britain's Schools have betrayed Britain's children and students after having embraced all the governments lockdown and then refused to reopen schools in June as demanded by Boris Johnson's government with noise eminating from the highly unionised cowardly bunch that they are eager to continue their 6 month holiday during September in response to which Boris Johnson issued a statement “Keeping our schools closed a moment longer than absolutely necessary is socially intolerable, economically unsustainable and morally indefensible,”

Whilst the whole of the NHS stood up and did their duty, teachers in large part have been found cowering at home with a glass of cheap white wine, hiding behind their union, finding any excuse to stay out of the classroom, all whilst collecting full pay. Shameful.

Even now schools and teachers continue to peddle the tired old line of covid safety social distancing. Well Sweden did none of that, kept it's schools open with little material difference in terms of covid infections and deaths compared to that the UK has experienced!

Enough is Enough!

If the cowardly lot can head for the shops, pubs and beaches then it is well past the time when they went BACK TO REAL WORK, teaching the 6 million kids sat at home for the past 6 months!
Can see parents wanting to slap them if children cannot return.
