The big supermarkets have said they won't enforce it and the police have said they can't enforce it. From what I witnessed, if challenged, you just have to say "I've got asthma, pal" and keep on walking.

There is no excuse for not wearing a face-covering when required to do so.

They're uncomfortable; they steam the glasses up; they inhibit proper communication . . . but they could protect lives.
