There's a Badger in my garden.
There's a Badger in my garden,
I wish it wasn't there,
I try to stop it digging,
But it really doesn't care.
There's a young Fox in my garden,
I clap my hands and shout,
It's a lovely looking animal,
But I'd rather it stayed out.
They like to catch my fishes,
I've put netting on our pond,
They like to tip up plant pots,
Of dog toys they're quite fond.
Lion dung scented pellets,
Didn't make much sense,
Well it didn't stop them climbing,
Or burrowing under the fence.
I try to block the holes,
Using metal rods galore,
They dig a hole alongside,
So now I need some more.
I used to have a Boxer dog,
That would run at them and shout,
Bigger than the intruders,
It would always chase them out.
Our doggy now is little,
It's trained to stay and sit,
But when it's in the garden,
I'm scared it will get bit.
I like to see the wildlife,
But it can sometimes be a pain,
My Cousin has just told me,
The Badger's here again.
