Re: The King's Bones.

Hi Roxy - Channel 4 at 9.00 pm to 10.30 pm! It should be good. I have put a reminder on it for myself, I am going to record it as well

Thanks for that latest link!

As I type, they are talking about in on Channel 3 News!

It should be a very interesting program!

If I can find my blank tapes I'll set the VCR in the bedroom to record it.

Re: The King's Bones.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and recording another program they advertised at the end of the Channel 4 one, which was on More 4!

I love anything Historical and that was a good progam.

Well it's recorded so I expect the wife and I will watch it some night when we go to bed (yes, we're the typical elderly people who lie in bed at night watching television with a cup of tea under the flannelette duvet).

Re: The King's Bones.

Everyone was talking about the Kings bones last week, my he rest in peace now that they found him.
Reminds me that the last high king of Ireland, Brian Boru, he was exhumed near Clontarf just outside Dublin City 100 years ago, even with the poor technology and no DNA comparison tests they discovered two important facts about him, he was 55 years, 5 months, and 3 days old when he died and had spent some time in the Sahara Desert, how did they know this?, well they found a Date up his arse.

Re: The King's Bones.

Jem. I have just put Brian Boru's March on the "What are you listening to now" thread. It's a lovely tune played on flute by James Galway, but now it will never be the same for me. I will remember what you said about Brian Boru every time I hear it played.
